ABOUT BRADLEY

Bradley John Philpot

Born in Southampton in December 1985, Bradley grew up surrounded by motorsport. His Grandfather Robbie Hood was both European and World ‘Offshore Powerboat’ champion as well as owning a Formula Ford 2000 team in the late 1970s. Bradley’s mother Debbie Hood ran her own on-site catering company which worked with many race teams both nationally and internationally. The father of Bradley’s half brother Paul owned a motorsport teamwear business and travelled across the UK to British Touring Car Championship events during the mid-90s.

In 1995, both Bradley & Paul began cadet karting, primarily at Camberley Kart Club and Forest Edge on the south coast of England. Although his brother stopped karting in 1997 when the costs became too high, Bradley continued rental and indoor karting through his teenage years - eventually taking a loan for £5,000 when he turned 18 in order to buy a TKM kart and trailer.

After Club level success in karting, Bradley entered a Formula Ford Scholarship in 2004 and was offered a job as a racing instructor at Bedford Autodrome where he worked for the next twelve years, progressing to Senior Instructor and honing his skills every day by coaching drivers on track in various performance cars.

In 2007 Bradley entered the Toyota MR2 challenge and won the championship at his first attempt and would go on to win various titles in karts and cars such as the Red Bull Kart Fight, the Peugeot 208 GTi Racing Experience, the Race Of Champions skills challenge and the VLN SP2T Championship.

As a well as racing, Bradley is now the sole European test driver for a major American tyre manufacturer.
